Was ist das Take Care Center?
TAKE CARE steht für „aufeinander Acht geben“.
In erster Linie der Mensch, aber auch Tiere, unsere Umwelt und auch einfach Dinge (z.B. Kleidung und Bücher…) benötigen Wertschätzung.
Dem Menschen geben wir die Wertschätzung in dem wir, unabhängig von Geschlecht und Religion, versuchen ihn soweit zu unterstützen, dass er sich in Folge dann selbst helfen kann (Schulbildung, Berufsausbildung)
Nutztiere spielen in unseren Projekten eine große Rolle. Unsere Patenkinder lernen wie wichtig eine artgerechte Tierhaltung ist.
Mit Müllsammelaktionen versuchen wir Kinder für ihre Umwelt zu sensibilisieren.
Schuluniformen und Textbücher werden am Ende des Schuljahres an ein jüngeres Kind weitergegeben.
Was wird dort gemacht?
Es gibt bereits das TAKE CARE CENTER MWAKAMBA/SÜDKÜSTE KENIA
Hier produzieren wir unsere Schuluniformen und betreiben ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft.
3 Mütter haben hier fix Arbeit gefunden und die Dorfbewohner können zu günstigsten Preisen einkaufen.
Es wird GRUNDSÄTZLICH NUR kostendeckend und NIE gewinnorientiert gearbeitet.
Das 2. TAKE CARE CENTER wird in GONGONI/NORDKÜSTE KENIA entstehen.
Dieses wird ein NOTHAUS für Kinder und Mütter.
Wann wollt ihr es bauen?
Der Bau soll spätestens Anfang Jänner 2022 starten.
Derzeit sind wir schon voll in der Projektplanung.
Der Baubeginn hängt auch von den finanziellen Mitteln ab!
Wie viele Kinder können dort Schutz finden?
In der Ausbaustufe 1 sollen dort 20 Patenkinder und 4 Erwachsene (zur Betreuung der Kinder) permanent während der Schulzeit wohnen und arbeiten.
Was ist das Ziel?
Das Projekt besteht aus mehreren Teilabschnitten.
Teil 1:
Wohnhaus für unsere Patenkinder deren Eltern nicht für sie sorgen können.
Damit wird für die Kinder ein Umfeld geschaffen um sich sorgenfrei auf ihre Ausbildung konzentrieren zu können.
Gleichzeitig erhalten 4 Frauen die Chance auf fixe Arbeit und Einkommen.
Teil 2:
Zubau 3 Volontärzimmer und 1 einfaches Behandlungszimmer, Aufstockung auf Platz für 44 Kinder und 6 Erwachsene.
1x wöchentlich sollen Ärzte aus der nächsten Stadt dort einfache medizinische Grundversorgung leisten können.
Teil 3:
Kühe, Ziegen und Hühner, sowie Gemüseanbau um einen Großteil der benötigten Lebensmittel selbst zu produzieren.
Teil 4:
Bau einer eigenen Grundschule
Wo wird es gebaut?
In GONGONI/Nordküste Kenias.
Ist ein sehr trockenes und armes ländliches Gebiet.
Es gibt dort keinen Tourismus und nur sehr bedingt Arbeitsplätze (Fabrik zur Meersalzgewinnung).
Menschen haben eigentlich nur die Chance Landwirtschaft zu betreiben (schwierig auf Grund der Trockenheit) oder zu versuchen in den Städten (nächste Stadt MALINDI 35 km entfernt) Arbeit zu finden.
Wie seid ihr auf diese Idee gekommen?
Die Familie unseres Teamleiters Kenia lebt dort.
Herr Chanzi hat bereits 10 Dorfkinder in seinem eigenen kleinen Haus aufgenommen.
Die Eltern haben die Kinder „abgeben“.
Das klingt zwar sehr hart, war aber die letzte Möglichkeit der Eltern.
So wissen die Eltern zumindest, dass die Kinder etwas zum Essen und eine Schlafstelle haben.
Mit seiner Frau, seiner Mutter und den eigenen Kindern leben nun 15 Personen permanent in einem „Haus“ mit ca. 50 m².
Die Aufnahme weiterer Kinder musste er ablehnen.
Was kostet der Bau?
Teil 1: ca. 25.000 bis 30.000 Euro

The Neuhold couple from Weiz discovered their love for Kenya on a holiday in 2016. With private funds, they made it possible for 5 children to attend school for two years, renovated the roof of a family and supported a total of 10 families with health insurance.
In autumn 2018, the two then founded the non-profit association “Zukunft-Dank-Dir”. Since May 2020 there has also been the Kenyan sister association “Zukunft-Dank-Dir-Kenia” - operated as a foundation. This step was necessary for legal reasons. All members of the future Thanks to you Austria and Kenya work 100% on a voluntary basis for the association.

COVID-19 did not stop at Kenya either. The entire tourism industry has come to a standstill. But this also means that people who worked for tourism in a broader sense (construction, carpenter, gardener, taxi driver, tailor, etc.) also have no work.
Unfortunately, not having a job in this country automatically means no income and therefore no money for food, rent or a doctor's visit. This is where the unbureaucratic help of the “Zukunft-Dank-Dir” association comes in.
The 6-person team on site, together with the "village leaders" and the police, takes over the "search" for families in need and then distributes the food. In 2 months, over 20 tons of food could be distributed, thus alleviating suffering and hunger. Many Kenyans tell us: "Most will not die from corona, but from hunger, illness or suicide"!
"Medical TCC" - a medical take care center.
Zukunft-Dank-Dir has been operating on the south coast (south of Mombasa in Mwakamba) for almost a year
a TCC - Take Care Center, as a non-profit company. Members of Zukunft-Dank-Dir look after families, run a small shop, tailoring and tool rental. The proceeds are used to pay rent and electricity. The groceries are sold as cheaply as possible in the village.
An MTCC is now to be built in Gongoni on the north coast. Gongoni is around an hour's drive north of Malindi, around 5 hours from Mombasa. Gongoni is just 200 km as the crow flies from the Somalia border. Gongoni is a so-called priority region of Future Thank You. There is no tourism here and hardly any other jobs. Many people in this region are originally Somali refugees. Mostly day laborers or at best small farmers trying to farm. Animal husbandry is an absolute luxury in this region - with 2 goats and 10 chickens you are already a “big farmer”!
In March 20019 Future Thanks to You, with the help of a major donor from Weiz, was able to build a well. The drinking water is now available to around 600 people and no longer has to be bought at a high price. SAFARI - our project manager - has told us that people in Gongoni keep dying because the way to the next town Malindi is too far on foot and the means of transport (shared taxi) is simply not affordable for most people. For this reason, people often have to die from diseases that are often “easy to treat”.
SAFARI has an old little building that he will give thanks to you in the future.
Since the building's basic features already exist, we can concentrate on the expansion and expansion. A not insignificant cost, but also time factor. With the local policy and a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, a rough "master plan" has already been drawn up and the focal points worked out. So once or twice a week a doctor should carry out simple examinations and treatments (wound care, malaria test, etc.) free of charge. Through our network, we also try to find a way of working with "Doctors Without Borders".
Another focus should be the training of first aid (eg first aid for snake bites). For example, the MTCC should be manned around the clock by a first aider who can live there for free. Often it simply fails to disinfect and put on a bandage.
The third focus of the MTCC should be educational work in schools. Here children should be taught first aid in a playful way. It is primarily about recognizing whether first aid is necessary or not. This can start the rescue chain. In the MTCC, we also want to pass this knowledge on to adults in the form of workshops.
Work is scheduled to begin in late 2020 and is scheduled to open in early summer 2021.
The total cost of this project is around your 30,000.00. The financing of 1/3 is already fixed from donations. This results in a financing requirement of € 20,000.
